alerting and recording rules for VictoriaMetrics and VictoriaLogs vmalert evaluates Prometheus-compatible alerting and recording rules against VictoriaMetrics (MetricsQL) or VictoriaLogs (LogsQL) and sends the firing alerts to Alertmanager. . Same repackaging as victoria-metrics, with a `vmalert` user, /etc/vmalert for the rule files, /etc/default/vmalert for the arguments and its own hardened unit, not enabled on install. It keeps no local state. . vmalert queries a single datasource, so the package also ships vmalert@.service: vmalert@<name> reads /etc/default/vmalert-<name>, one instance per datasource - VictoriaMetrics for metric rules, VictoriaLogs for log rules.
